About school
Gymnázium Ľudovíta Štúra (Gymnázium of Ludovit Stur) in Trenčín belongs to schools with a long and rich tradition. It was established as the Czechoslovakian one aimed at education preparing students for studies at various types of universities. It started its role as the Slovak Gymnazium in 1919. Since that time it has come through many changes including the school curriculum or the name of school.
Nowadays it is called Gymnázium Ľudovíta Štúra and since 1995 the school has provided both forms of secondary studies: 4-year form of study and 8-year form of study. The school is attended approximately by more than 1,000 students a year.
